Kirsten Crider is a licensed clinical social worker at Norman Behavioral Health Group with a strong foundation in psychology and social work. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. With years of experience, Kirsten has developed a passion for helping individuals overcome challenges and embrace positive change. She has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Oklahoma Heart of Social Work Award, the Caring More Award for Community Social Work, and being named Employee of the Year at Valir Hospice.
Kirsten takes a holistic approach to therapy, believing that everyone has the capacity for growth and that mental, emotional, and physical health are all interconnected. She specializes in working with adults and seniors dealing with anxiety, depression, caregiver fatigue, grief and loss, stress, life transitions, self-esteem issues, body image concerns, emotional eating, and weight loss (both surgical and nonsurgical). Her therapeutic methods are tailored to each client's needs and include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Known for her compassionate, client-centered approach, Kirsten helps clients find the tools within themselves to achieve the quality of life they desire. Whether working with someone experiencing emotional distress or helping those navigating major life transitions, Kirsten is committed to guiding individuals toward hope, confidence, and lasting change.
Outside of her professional life, Kirsten enjoys an active lifestyle, traveling with her husband, scuba diving, water aerobics, Zumba, gardening, and spending time with her dog. She is currently accepting new clients and looks forward to working together toward your emotional well-being.
